Regional Situation: In general, North America and parts of the Caribbean continue to see a decline in influenza activity, mainly associated with influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 and influenza B. RSV activity remains on a downward trend in North America; however, an increase is observed in the Caribbean. SARS-CoV-2 activity remains low in North America and the Caribbean. In Central America, the circulation of influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 remains at the same level as the previous epidemiological week (EW). RSV and SARS-CoV-2 activity remains low. The Andean Subregion remains stable in the circulation of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza A(H3N2), while RSV shows an upward trend in detections. Brazil/Southern Cone shows an increase in detections of influenza A(H1N1)pdm09. In the case of SARS-CoV-2, it continues to decline. RSV remains at the same level as the previous EW. In the region, there is a high percentage of detection of other respiratory viruses, with rhinovirus standing out in North America, the Andean region, and Brazil and the Southern Cone. In the Caribbean, there has also been circulation of parainfluenza and adenovirus. |
