Regional Situation: In general, North America and parts of the Caribbean continue to see a decline in influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 and influenza B activity. RSV activity remains at interseasonal levels in North America, while in the Caribbean, it has diminished compared to previous epidemiological weeks (EWs). SARS-CoV-2 activity remains low in North America, but in the Caribbean, it continues to show an increase with a positivity rate of 9.0%. In Central America, the circulation of influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 continues to increase compared to previous EWs, with a positivity rate of 26.0%. RSV activity has risen compared to the last two weeks, while SARS-CoV-2 circulation has remained low since its peak at the end of March. In the Andean subregion, the activity of influenza A cases is stabilizing, with a decrease in the positivity rate compared to the previous week (15.7%), while SARS-CoV-2 circulation continues to maintain a low trend. RSV circulation began to decrease compared to the previous EW, with a positivity rate of 9.0%. In Brazil/Southern Cone, influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 circulation remains at high levels, with an upward trend compared to the previous EW, showing a positivity rate of 20.1%. SARS-CoV-2 detection remains low, while RSV has shown an increase compared to the previous week, with a positivity rate of 4.1%. Across the region, the observed decline in the positivity rate of other respiratory viruses (ORV) was not maintained, with an increase to 8.7%, with rhinovirus standing out in North America and the Brazil/Southern Cone region.
