Regional Update, Influenza and Other Respiratory Viruses. Epidemiological Week 45 (15 November 2024)

Regional Situation: Influenza-like Illness (ILI) and Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) activity has shown a general downward trend in recent weeks, except in North America, where a slight increase in ILI cases has been observed. SARS-CoV-2 activity remains high in North America and is increasing in Brazil, the Southern Cone, and some Caribbean countries. Influenza activity has generally declined, although a slight increase has been reported in some countries in the Andean subregion and the Southern Cone. Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) activity remains high in parts of Central America, with an upward trend in some Caribbean and North American countries.
