Regional Update, Influenza and Other Respiratory Viruses. Epidemiological Week 47 (29 November 2024)

Regional Situation: Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) and Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) activity has generally declined in recent weeks, except in North America, where ILI cases have increased. SARS-CoV-2 activity, while decreasing, remains at moderate levels in North America and is rising in Brazil and the Southern Cone. Influenza activity has shown a widespread decline, with slight increases reported in some countries in the Andean subregion, the Southern Cone, and North America. Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) activity remains high in certain Central American countries and is trending upward in parts of the Caribbean and North America.
