Regional Situation: Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) activity has increased in the North American and Caribbean subregions, driven by the circulation of RSV and influenza. In contrast, ILI activity remains at low levels in the rest of the subregions. Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) activity has shown a general decline in most subregions over the past few weeks, except in North America, where an increase has been observed, also associated with RSV and influenza. SARS-CoV-2 activity continues to decline, reaching low levels in North America, while showing an upward trend in Brazil and the Southern Cone. Influenza activity has risen slightly in some countries in the Andean subregion, the Southern Cone, North America, and the Caribbean. RSV activity remains high in some Central American countries and several nations and territories in the Caribbean, although it shows a downward trend. In North America, RSV activity is elevated and continues to rise. |
