Regional Situation: Influenza-like illness (ILI) activity has increased in the subregions of North America and the Caribbean, driven by the circulation of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and influenza. In other subregions, ILI activity remains at low levels. Severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) activity has shown a general downward trend in recent weeks across most subregions, except in North America, where an increase has been observed, also linked to RSV and influenza. SARS-CoV-2 activity continues to decline, although it is showing an upward trend in Brazil, the Southern Cone, and the Andean subregion. Influenza activity has risen in North America and the Caribbean, as well as in some countries of the Andean subregion and the Southern Cone. RSV activity remains high in certain Central American countries and in several countries and territories of the Caribbean, although it shows a declining trend. In North America, RSV activity is elevated and continues to rise. |
