Regional Situation: In general, North America and parts of the Caribbean are experiencing an increase in influenza activity, primarily associated with Influenza A(H1N1)pdm09, Influenza A(H3N2), and Influenza B/Victoria. RSV activity remains at epidemic levels but declining. In Central America, there is an increase in the circulation of Influenza A(H1N1)pdm09, SARS-CoV-2, and RSV. Although SARI remains below epidemic thresholds, ILI is beginning to show a slight increase associated with Influenza and SARSCoV- 2. The Andean subregion and Brazil/Southern Cone are maintaining interseasonal levels with a decrease in the detection of SARS-CoV-2. |
