We are pleased to invite you to participate in a webinar organized by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) under the Elimination Initiative, focused on country and local experiences in intersectoral action to accelerate the elimination of communicable diseases in the Americas.
Communicable diseases are shaped by social, environmental, and economic conditions that extend beyond the health sector. Intersectoral collaboration among health, social protection, education, labor, environment, justice, and local government sectors is essential to address these determinants, improve access to services, and accelerate progress toward elimination goals, particularly among populations and territories in situations of vulnerability.
The objective of this webinar is to share experiences and lessons learned from national, subnational, and local-level intersectoral approaches that contribute to accelerating and sustaining the elimination of communicable diseases across diverse contexts.
