About this webinar

Incorporating innovative health technologies in contexts of clinical uncertainty, evolving evidence, and budgetary constraints represents a common challenge for health systems in the region. In this scenario, decision-making on coverage and financing increasingly requires flexible and adaptive approaches.

To address these challenges, various health systems have begun to rely on innovative mechanisms, among which risk-sharing agreements stand out as a tool to facilitate access to health technologies under specific conditions.

These agreements make it possible to address uncertainty related to effectiveness, safety, or budget impact. However, their implementation also poses significant challenges in terms of contract design, monitoring, data availability and quality, and institutional capacity.

This webinar will present concrete experiences in the implementation of risk-sharing agreements across different countries, drawing on the cases of NICE (United Kingdom), the Ministry of Health of Chile, and the Ministry of Health of Argentina.
