The Health Analysis and Equity Metrics (EIH/HA) team coordinates PAHO's efforts to collect, process, manage, analyze, and disseminate health data and statistics from PAHO's Member States and technical areas. It contributes to the strengthening of health information in the Region through technical cooperation in areas such as Health situation analysis, as well as through initiatives as the Regional Core Health Data Initiative, and the Family of International Classifications.

Regional Core Health Data Initiative
Launched by PAHO in 1995 to monitor the attainment of health goals and their compliance with the mandates of PAHO Member States. A collective effort of PAHO and its Member States.
Core Indicators Portal
An interactive portal that presents more than 140 health and health-related indicators with data from 1995 to the present, including disaggregation by age, sex, urban-rural distribution, and more. It gives crucial information on the health situation and trends at the country, subregional, and regional levels.
30 years of Core Indicators
In 2024, PAHO celebrates 30 years of the Core Indicators initiative. It all started in 1994, when work began at the PAHO headquarters to prepare and assist the Member States and PAHO/WHO Representative Offices in the production of the first regional basic indicators publication, published in 1995. PAHO Core Indicators include data for 49 countries and territories of the Region of the Americas from 1995 to 2023 or the latest available year.
