12 January 2021- The MHPSS Network of Trinidad and Tobago launched its crisis support directory, www.findcarett.com, where Trinidadians can search for mental health care services for emergency and crisis situations. Services and resources available as part of the Directory include mental health and addiction services, counseling, gender-based violence support, services for children and adolescents, coping materials, videos, and mobile apps, among others.
Findcarett.com is the Directory of MHPSS Services delivered by the Technical Working Group of the Mental Health and Psycho-Social Support Network of Trinidad and Tobago which was activated in 2020 in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Directory was developed by Technical Working Group member, Mindwise Project.
The launch, chaired by Dr. Lucy Gabriel the co-chair of the MHPSS TWG , included remarks by the Honorable Terrance Deyalsingh, Minister of Health of Trinidad and Tobago; PAHO/WHO representative, Dr. Erica Wheeler; and Dr. Hazel Othello, Director of the Mental Health Unit of the Ministry of Health of Trinidad and Tobago and MHPSS Chair. Maria O’brien, Director Mindwise Project, introduced Findcarett.com followed by the Statement of Declaration of the official launch of Findcarett.com, delivered by the President of the Trinidad and Tobago Association of Psychologist, Wendy Jeremie.
