On 12 April 2026, the Dominican Republic Emergency Operations Center (COE) reported that intense rainfall associated with a trough continues to affect multiple provinces, with four provinces under red alert, 17 under yellow alert, and seven under green alert. According to official data, 6,100 homes have been affected and 30,500 people displaced, while one road and five bridges have been impacted, and 14 communities remain isolated. Panama
On 15 April 2026, the National System of Civil Protection of Panama (SINAPROC, per its acronym in Spanish), reported river overflows caused by heavy rainfall in the provinces of Bocas del Toro and Veraguas. According to the report, a total of 2,954 families were affected. Authorities confirmed one fatality. In the province of Veraguas, all schools were closed. On 15 April 2026, according to media reports regarding the heavy rains reported in Haiti, the precipitation has triggered widespread flooding that affected entire communities, forcing dozens of families to evacuate their homes under adverse conditions. At least 12 deaths have been reported in northwest Haiti as a result of the intense rains over the past three days, according to the Departmental Directorate of Civil Protection.
