On 25 July, the National Commission for Risk Prevention and Emergency Care (CNE, per its acronym in Spanish) reported 3,081 people are in shelters mainly in the Caribbean, Zona Norte, Sarapiquí, Turrialba, and Jiménez due to severe weather in the last few days. There are 52 shelters of which 26 are in the canton of Sarapiquí, mainly in schools and churches. Central Government and CNE authorities will assess damage this week and support municipal authorities in dealing with the crisis. Red Alert is maintained for eight Cantons: San Carlos, Upala, Guatuso, Sarapiquí, Turrialba, Matina, Limón, and Talamanca. Panama 
On 24 July, the National Civil Protection System (SINAPROC per its acronym in Spanish) reported 5,495 people were affected by severe weather in the past few days. The provinces with the highest number of affected people in descending order are: Bocas del Toro with 5,405 affected people, Veraguas with 31 affected, Chiriqui with 22 affected, Herrera with 21 affected, and Coclé wit 15 affected due to last Friday's heavy rains. In Bocas del Toro, 327 persons are in shelters and receiving medical attention and food supplies. There were 27 people that were rescued due to being trapped by flooding rivers. About 1,095 homes are affected in the provinces of Bocas del Toro, Chiriquí, Veraguas, and Herrera by floods. There were 3 landslides reported in Coclé and 5 in the province of Bocas del Toro. Throughout the country, 22 fallen trees have been reported on roads including 13 in Panama West. According to weather forecasts, there will be instability in the weather until Monday, 26 July. On 24 July, media reported that torrential downpours associated with a storm caused floods, landslides, and obstructed roads. Homes were damaged and classes suspended. More than 600 people are in temporary shelters. The National Emergency Commission (CNE, per its acronym in Spanish) decreed a red alert (evacuation and response) for the cantons of Turrialba, Matina, Limón, Talamanca, and Sarapiquí. CNE predicted that severe weather would continue over the weekend in some areas. According to media, on 25 July, the National Meteorological Institute (IMN, per its acronym in Spanish) indicated that rainfall measurements in the last 12 hours were as follows: Lemon 10-35 mm, North Zone 1-10mm, and South Pacific 50-80mm. Guatemala 
On 25 July, media reported that between Friday, 23 July, and Saturday, 24 July, 266 people were affected and 55 homes were damaged in the northern departments of Petén and Alta Verapaz due to severe weather. The heavy rains that began in May have left eight people dead and 632,243 affected by floods, landslides, and damage to infrastructure. A total of 5,636 people were evacuated, 343 were sheltered, and two were injured. During this rainy season, in total, 1,794 houses were damaged, while 56 schools, 98 roads and 11 bridges were affected. The media report is available at: BIOBIOCHILE
