On 26 April 2026, the Emergency Operations Center (COE) provided information on heavy rainfall causing widespread displacement and structural damage across multiple provinces. According to the reports, 173 houses were affected and 865 individuals were displaced. Authorities indicated that flooding has left 22 communities isolated and warned that further inundations remain possible as rainfall continues. Additional impacts included the restriction of access to rivers, streams, and gullies in provinces under alert, particularly within the Valdesia Dam basin and along the Nizao River, due to ongoing regulation by the Dam and Reservoir Operation Committee. A Yellow Alert remains in effect for the provinces of Puerto Plata, Espaillat, María Trinidad Sánchez, Monseñor Nouel, La Vega, Santiago, and Hermanas Mirabal to support public safety measures. On 26 April 2026, a media report provided information on a powerful EF-2 tornado that struck North Texas, with maximum winds reaching up to 217 km/h. According to the report, the storm affected the communities of Runaway Bay in Wise County and Springtown in Parker County, resulting in at least two fatalities and the displacement of 20 families. Authorities indicated that numerous houses sustained significant structural damage, with emergency teams working continuously to clear debris and provide medical assistance.
