The GSED Package in the Americas
The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), is supporting the regional implementation of the Global Scales for Early Development (GSED) — a set of standardized tools designed to measure the development of children aged 0 to 3 years at the population level.
This webpage serves as the regional home for the GSED Package in the Americas. It brings together key materials and resources to support countries and partners in the adoption and dissemination of the GSED tools.
The package includes:
- A Technical Report documenting development, validation, and psychometrics
- The GSED Short Form (SF) & Long Form (LF) instruments, with item guides and user manuals
- A Scoring Guide and an Adaptation & Translation Guide to support implementation in diverse regional contexts
- Additional tools (coming soon)
PAHO encourages stakeholders across the region to use and share these materials to promote equitable early childhood development and improve data collection efforts for children in the Americas.
