COVID-19 Bahamas and Turks and Caicos Islands Situation Report July 17th, 2020

The Bahamas
Since 10th July 2020, there were 17 newly confirmed cases and no deaths from COVID-19.
There have been no new deaths since 24th April 2020.
Among the newly confirmed cases:
• 7 are male in age groups: 20-39 (1); 40-59 (5);60-79 (1);
• 10 are female in age groups: ≤19 (1); 20-39 (5); 40-59 (3); ≥80 (1);
• Two case are hospitalized, and the remaining new cases are in home isolation;
• One male is a healthcare worker in the age range 40-59 (1).

Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI)
Since 10th July 2020, there were eight newly confirmed cases and no deaths from COVID-19.
Among the newly confirmed cases:
• 4 persons are hospitalized.
