This second quadripartite biennial report reviews global progress in implementing the Global Action Plan on Antimicrobial Resistance (GAP-AMR) during 2022–2024. Produced jointly by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH), the report examines progress and remaining challenges in addressing antimicrobial resistance (AMR) through a One Health approach encompassing human, animal, plant and environmental health. Drawing primarily on data from the Tracking AMR Country Self-assessment Survey (TrACSS), it assesses implementation of national action plans (NAPs), multisectoral coordination mechanisms, awareness activities, surveillance systems and stewardship efforts across sectors. |
