This Regional Framework aims to provide guidance to PAHO’s Member States and their national commissions and subregional commissions by standardizing the procedures to monitor progress made towards the sustainability and/or re- verification of measles, rubella, and CRS elimination.

The Regional Framework is based on ongoing country experiences in sustaining disease elimination, as well as the Region’s experiences in maintaining polio and smallpox elimination.
