Situation Report No.3: Haiti - Hurricane Melissa. 29 Oct. 2025

Highlights:

After heavy rains during the night of 28 October and all day the October 29, several flooded rivers have been reported, including Digue river in Petit-Goave (Ouest department) that caused 12 deaths (including 9 children) and 20 people wounded (one of them with multiple trauma).

• 7 IDP sites in Leogane housing at least 1000 people are flooded.
• 4 health facilities in Leogane are reported to be flooded.
• A flooded river has also caused heavy damage to the road entering Jacmel, in the Sud-Est department which might cause further delays to aid delivery.
