Updated conceptual and operational framework for IHSDNs in the Americas: a technical consensus of PAHO, IADB and the World Bank

This co-publication by the Pan American Health Organization, the World Bank, and the Inter-American Development Bank, developed within the framework of the Alliance for Primary Health Care in the Americas (A4PHC), constitutes the first technical consensus document updating the conceptual and operational framework for Integrated Health Service Delivery Networks (IHSDNs) in the Region of the Americas. It presents a renewed and flexible strategy to advance toward more integrated, equitable, and resilient health systems, incorporating innovations in multilevel governance, progressive network maturation, change management, digital transformation, and social participation.
Aimed at decision-makers, managers, and technical teams, the document provides practical guidance for planning, adapting, and implementing strategies to strengthen the equity, sustainability, and responsiveness of health systems in the Region.
