The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) organized the webinar “The Health Workforce and Artificial Intelligence: A strategic vision for the Region,” on Tuesday, 18 November 2025, from 10:00 to 11:30 AM (ET).

Understanding how artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming the health workforce is key to strengthening skills, improving working conditions, and ensuring meaningful participation in digital transformation processes. This regional discussion explored gaps, priorities, and collaborative actions to shape evidence-based policies and strategies, promote continuous education, and foster a skilled, adaptable, and innovative health workforce across the Americas.

Objective of the webinar

  • To promote strategic dialogue with experts and authorities on the ethical, equitable, and sustainable integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in the planning, development, and strengthening of the health workforce in the Region of the Americas, highlighting its potential to enhance governance, evidence-based decision-making, and the development of digital competencies for a sustainable health workforce in the Region of the Americas.
