June 18, 2025 (PAHO) — More than 50 representatives from 26 countries and territories across the Region participated in the Sixth Consultation of Member States for the development of the PAHO Strategic Plan 2026-2031.
Ahead of the 176th session of the Executive Committee, PAHO delivered a comprehensive briefing for Member States on the updates on the development of the Strategic Plan since the fifth consultation and the development of the Program Budget 2026-2027.
The discussion reaffirmed the critical importance of Primary health care and digital health innovation; Specialized care delivery and EPHFs for system resilience; Alignment with global strategies (e.g., immunization, digital health) and Country cooperation as a core technical modality.
In the spirit of a Members State-driven process, participants were once again invited to provide written feedback on the SP and PB documents by 30 June, which will be incorporated into the next iteration of the Strategic Plan.
The Strategic Plan 2026-2031 remains a living document, continuously refined through the engagement of Member States and partners to ensure it reflects the shared vision of health and well-being with impact for the Region.
