The Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates to cover the position of Gender Equality Expert.
The Gender Equality Expert will be supporting the WHO/PAHO Office in Jamaica in the implementation of work plans and technical cooperation projects in line with national priorities under the Cross Cutting themes – equity, gender, human rights, and cultural diversity. In addition, the consultant will serve as a focal point for the Regional Office’s Unit for Equity, Gender, Human Rights, and Cultural Diversity (EG).
The role entails: guiding gender mainstreaming in projects funded by the Canadian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD) particularly focusing on immunization, integrating cross-cutting themes into office tasks, conducting gender-based analysis studies on health policies, compiling comprehensive reports with enhanced data collection, utilizing data for informed policy decisions and health interventions, and developing training materials on intersectional health approaches.
