Stories on enforcement procedures of over the counter medicine sales

Antimicrobials are currently an essential resource for therapeutics. Yet, their indiscriminate use is considered a global public health concern. Optimizing their use is one of the five key strategic objectives outlined in the Global action plan on antimicrobial resistance of the World Health Organization (WHO).

These stories are part of the actions implemented as a result of the Initiative for the National Regulatory Agencies for the containment of antimicrobial resistance within the framework of the regional and global plans on the topic, ratified by the Pan American Network for Drug Regulatory Harmonization (PANDRH Network) and the project Working Together to Fight Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), promoted by the European Union.
