Situation Report No.2: Haiti - Hurricane Melissa. 28 Oct. 2025

Highlights:

• The crisis cell of the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP) has been activated. The General Directorate of Civil Protection (DGPC) has added an orange alert for the Artibonite and Nord-Ouest department. The Southern departments and the Ouest remain in red alert.
• The Transitional Presidential Council has announced schools, and the commercial sector will remain closed tomorrow, Wednesday 29 October, to limit the impacts of the storm on the population.
• Some flooding and flooded rivers have been reported in the Nippes and Sud departments, but they have not affected health facilities.
