On Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM (Brasilia, UTC-3), BIREME/PAHO/WHO will host the session “Launch of the SUS Digital Platform” as part of the program “BIREME 2026: New Releases and Updates”.

The event will present the SUS Digital Platform, the result of technical cooperation between BIREME and the Secretariat of Information and Digital Health of the Brazilian Ministry of Health (SEIDIGI/MoH). The platform was created to support the implementation of the SUS Digital Program by integrating information, initiatives, and strategic resources for digital health transformation in Brazil.

The SUS Digital Platform brings together content, experiences, applications, projects, services, and products related to the SUS Digital Program in a reference hub for managers, health professionals, researchers, citizens, and other SUS users, fostering a more integrated view of ongoing actions and expanding access to knowledge produced in the field of digital health.

During the session, two strategic initiatives that are part of the SUS Digital Platform ecosystem will also be launched: the new Formative Second Opinion (SOF), which expands access to evidence-based content to support clinical practice and care management within SUS, and the Decision Aids (DA) portal, designed to strengthen shared decision-making between healthcare professionals and patients.

The webinar will highlight how technical cooperation between the Ministry of Health and BIREME has contributed to strengthening information management, expanding access to evidence-based knowledge, and supporting the expansion of the SUS Digital Program throughout Brazil.
