The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO)/ World Health Organization (WHO) Country Office in Jamaica has gone red to commemorate World AIDS Day.
Light Kingston Red, an annual UNAIDS Jamaica initiative, seeks to increase awareness about HIV/AIDS, remember those who have died from AIDS-related illnesses, and encourage solidarity for people living with HIV. Several public sector organizations and private sector entities are also supporting the initiative.
This year, World AIDS Day is observed under the theme, End inequalities, end AIDS, end pandemics. The PAHO/WHO Country Office will remain illuminated in red until Friday, December 3.
