A "train-the-trainers" course on clinical management of Ebola patients was kicked off today by Minister of Health of Chile Helia Molina and Paloma Cuchi, representative in Chile of the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO). The three-day workshop is the first in a series of PAHO/WHO Ebola training workshops for Spanish-speaking participants. A similar workshop was held this week in Antigua and Barbuda for English-speaking participants from the Caribbean. The training is intended to strengthen the ability of medical and nursing professionals to detect, treat and contain the spread of any potential imported case of Ebola.
