The EMT Regional Secretariat in the Americas is pleased to invite you to participate in the EMTignite: ''Deploying Care – Nursing Experiences from Hurricane Melissa EMT Response" which will be held on Wednesday, May 13th, 2026, at 11:00 am EST/WDC.
This webinar, organized in the framework of the International Nurses Day 2026, will explore the experiences of nursing professionals deployed as part of Emergency Medical Teams (EMTs) during the response to Hurricane Melissa.
Through perspectives from nurses working in both Type 1 Fixed and Type 2 EMTs, the session will highlight operational challenges, coordination within multidisciplinary teams, nursing leadership roles, and lessons learned from disaster response deployments.
