The concept of telemedicine or virtual care is not new, but during the COVID-19 pandemic, it is more relevant and useful.
This PANCAP - PAHO webinar will focus on the fundamentals of telemedicine and virtual care, including the steps in establishing a programme.
Presenters will also discuss the potential benefits, advantages and limitations of telemedicine and virtual care. Opportunities to immediately access virtual consultations will be shared. Presenters will highlight their experiences in implementing telemedicine to manage complex infectious disease cases in Guyana and will identify lessons learned that could be applied during COVID-19.
