Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS)

CRVS Portal: A regional space to strengthen Civil Registration and Vital Statistics systems.

This portal brings together content, experiences, and tools that support the digital transformation of Civil Registration and Vital Statistics systems in Latin America and the Caribbean. It is grounded in a clear perspective: the role of the health sector in generating primary data and its impact on data quality.

Across its different sections, the portal presents resources and practices that support electronic medical certification of births and deaths, interoperability between systems, the strengthening of digital health capacities, and the transition to ICD-11.

Its aim is to contribute to more integrated and timely systems, capable of producing reliable information for public health while ensuring the right to identity.
