Adaptive and platform trials

PAHO’s Regional Program on Bioethics and Quality and Regulation of Medicines and Health Technologies Unit carried on a new seminar of the series of seminars focused on clinical trials, which is part of PAHO’s Clinical Trial Accelerator Initiative.

This session explored the fundamental concepts and key distinctions between adaptive and platform clinical trials, highlighted the main implementation challenges in the region, and examined the ethical, regulatory, and operational implications for research systems.
