PAHO Jamaica donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to assist frontline workers in the COVID-19 response.

PAHO/WHO Representative for Jamaica, Cayman Islands and Bermuda, Dr Bernadette Theodore-Gandi, was pleased to donate vital protective equipment to provide a safe working environment for doctors and nurses working on the frontline and reduce the spread of COVID-19 while proving lifesaving care for those recovering from the disease.

Critical shortages of PPEs and is one of the major issues affecting the global response to the pandemic with many countries struggling to adequately equip frontline healthcare workers.

The package includes 2500 gloves, 1250 surgical masks and 1250 gowns.
