Consult the Monitoring and action framework of the Elimination Initiative

With this publication, the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) aims to support its Member States, civil society, donors, partners, and stakeholders in monitoring progress toward disease elimination and implementation of the Lines of Action as set out in PAHO’s Initiative for the Elimination of Diseases (EI). Endorsed in 2019 by PAHO’s Directing Council, the EI is a bold and integrated approach to accelerate the elimination of more than 30 communicable diseases and related conditions in the Americas by 2030. It builds on existing disease-specific programs while promoting health systems strengthening, intersectoral collaboration, and actions to address the environmental and social determinants of health.
