The 2024 PAHO Country Office Annual Reports highlight our collaborative efforts with Member States to address shared challenges and advance equitable access to health.
This annual report demonstrates that PAHO is committed to deliver impactful, transformative, and country-centered cooperation, tailored to countries’ priorities, needs and capacities in addressing health risks and strengthening health systems.
In 2024, PAHO is focusing on impactful initiatives: Elimination of Diseases, aiming to end over 30 diseases in the Americas; Better Care for NCDs, accelerating the integration of comprehensive non-communicable disease services in primary health care; Regional Revolving Funds, providing countries with timely and transparent access to quality supplies at affordable prices and supporting regional production; Digital Transformation strengthening; and, Zero Maternal Deaths, committing to accelerate maternal mortality reduction.
By applying lessons learned and innovative approaches, we will be better prepared to address future threats, overcome inequalities, and build resilient health systems capable of responding to emergencies and disasters, and to advance towards universal health.
My commitment is to uphold the Organization's values of equity, excellence, solidarity, respect and integrity, to improve health and wellbeing in the Region. Together with our Member States, we can ensure a healthier and more prosperous future for all.
